Background on Game Creation:
For See What I See, I was the creator of the idea., in collaboration with my team mates for a Social and Emotional Game Design course. Inspired by a team member’s future struggle with cataracts, the game explores the gradual loss of vision and its impact on navigating familiar spaces. It highlights how reliance on local landmarks grows as vision deteriorates, making once-simple tasks increasingly difficult.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Simulated the effects of cataracts and declining vision over time.
Created the level design, UI design and Level Progression
Created mechanics that emphasize reliance on memory and spatial awareness.
Focused on storytelling to evoke empathy and understanding of vision impairment.
Demonstrated how individuals adapt to adversity through gameplay.
