Welcome to my art and game design portfolio!
If you haven’t noticed the header, my name is Jonathan Narine. I'm a graduate of Ontario Tech University's Game Development and Entrepreneurship program, where I spent over four years honing my skills in all aspects of game development.
Cool, right? Tons of talented people study game development, so what makes me different? Well, it'd have to be my passion for storytelling, my openness for learning, and my drive to create inclusive games because I want to do whatever it takes to make something great.
During my time in school and beyond, I've worn many hats—designer, artist, programmer, and everything in between. I don’t have a specialty because I jump at any opportunity to create something new. Whether it’s UI/UX, character backstories, mechanics, or 3D Modelling, I always push to bring ideas to life.
More than anything, I want a chance—to learn, to grow, and to build something that matters. Games were an escape for me growing up, a way to find comfort when things were tough. Now, I want to create games that give others that same sense of belonging. I want to see more stories that reflect people like me—people who are autistic, biracial (Trinidadian and Newfoundlander), amputees, queer—people who deserve to see themselves in the worlds we build.
I work hard, push myself, and I take every chance I get. I know I have a long way to go, but I’m ready to do whatever it takes. If you’re looking for someone who’s passionate, adaptable, and ready to learn and create, I hope I might be that person on your team!
